The Fenix uses discrete components for its circuits.
These are a few spectrograms of the Fenix filters at various settings.
The Notch response curve was created by summing the lowpass and highpass outputs.
Many different curves can be created by adding or subtracting the different outputs, or subtrracting the input from the output (s).
VCF 1/2 State-variable filter:
LowPass | BandPass | HigPass | Notch |
---|---|---|---|
No Resonance | High Resonance | No Resonanc e | No Resonance |
High Resonance | High Resonance | High Resonance | High Resonance |
VCF 3 Lowpass ladder-filter:
This VCF has three audio inputs. The filter behaviour is partly determined by the input level setting. Like the other filters, the two outputs can be summed with a mixer module, creating different response curves
12dB | 24dB | Combined |
---|---|---|
No Resonance | High Resonance | No Resonanc e |
High Resonance | High Resonance | High Resonance |
